This position is ideal for a technically proficient and self-motivated individual with a strong foundation in computer networks, infrastructure, and data security.

🔍 Position Overview
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role requires in-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication across departments by maintaining network reliability, performance, and security.
You will collaborate closely with IT teams to monitor network activity, troubleshoot connectivity issues, support system upgrades, and maintain documentation to ensure the smooth operation of all digital infrastructure.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Plan, configure, install, and support LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Monitor and optimize network performance, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
Manage the setup and maintenance of IP addressing schemes, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.
Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and apply patches to maintain security compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to manage connectivity between departments, remote branches, and external partners.
Administer and maintain firewall rules, VLANs, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Ensure data integrity and security across all connected systems and platforms.
Support backup and disaster recovery protocols and participate in regular testing procedures.
Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, device inventories, and change logs.
Provide documentation, training, and assistance to end users and junior IT staff.
Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and technical support of network devices and services.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in network architecture and security.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco or equivalent networking devices.
Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.).
Experience with network security tools, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and subnetting.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) is advantageous.
