📋 Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will oversee all regional sales operations and ensure the successful execution of strategies to boost business revenue. The position requires a balance of field activity, team leadership, customer acquisition, and client relationship management. Candidates must be highly motivated, self-driven, and possess excellent communication and leadership abilities.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to achieve business targets
Manage and mentor a team of field sales executives or business development officers
Expand the client base through field visits, cold calling, and networking
Onboard and support new retailers, vendors, or business partners in the Ahmedabad region
Supervise and track daily sales activities and team performance
Build lasting relationships with clients to improve retention and satisfaction
Generate and present weekly/monthly performance reports to the management
Ensure timely resolution of client queries and complaints
Conduct training and workshops for the sales team to improve skills and efficiency
Monitor competition and provide inputs to improve product positioning and strategy
Coordinate with internal teams for product availability, deliveries, and service delivery
Ensure all field activities are compliant with company policies and standards
Participate in marketing campaigns, brand activations, and trade events as required
✅ Candidate Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related fields
Postgraduate qualifications like MBA/PGDM preferred (not mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales, field marketing, or team management
Prior exposure to sectors like FMCG, telecom, pharma, logistics, or retail is an added advantage
Location Preference:
Candidates from Ahmedabad or nearby regions will be given priority
