Job Description:
Join Amazon as an ML Data Associate (DA) and play a key role in labeling and managing data for Alexa Data Services. In this role, you will work with diverse text, speech, and other data types, helping to enhance Alexa’s performance in real-world scenarios. Your accuracy, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will contribute to improving AI-based user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Process, evaluate, and label text, speech, and other data types to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Use in-house tools and software to ensure high-quality data output.
Report tool or software issues proactively to maintain quality standards.
Provide feedback for process and tooling improvements to enhance data efficiency and quality.
Maintain strict confidentiality and follow Amazon policies for secure handling of data.

A Day in the Life:
As an ML Data Associate, you will evaluate dialogues within text and speech data to help Alexa perform effectively in daily use. You will work closely with a diverse team, applying creativity, adaptability, and meticulousness to ensure high-quality data labeling. Your work will directly support Amazon’s AI initiatives and contribute to advancing voice technology.

About the Team:
Alexa Data Services (ADS) supports the development, training, and testing of Alexa AI. By collaborating with Amazon’s Machine Learning (ML) Science and Modeling teams, ADS provides crucial data to improve Alexa’s speech recognition and natural language understanding.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Hindi.
Comfortable working with regional languages/dialects such as Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, or Malayalam.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
Typing speed of 40+ WPM with ≥90% accuracy.
Basic troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Same as above (Bachelor’s degree and language/computer proficiency).
Previous experience in data labeling or AI-related tasks is a plus but not mandatory.
