About the Role:
Friendsjob is inviting applications for a talented and driven Production Supervisor for a well-known manufacturing facility in Kanpur. This position is suitable for candidates with good technical expertise, manufacturing operation experience, and good leadership skills. Your responsibility as a Production Supervisor will be to monitor daily production operations, achieve maximum output, keep quality standards, and adopt effective production methods.

Primary Tasks:
Oversee and organize daily activities on the production floor to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved.
Monitor the productivity of the workforce and complete assigned work within deadlines.
Enforce safety rules and quality checks according to company regulations.
Work with departments of quality assurance, maintenance, and stock control to provide smooth flow of production.
Keep proper records of production statistics, raw materials, and finished goods.

Detect operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to production procedures.
Train and mentor production employees to maximize skills and job performance.
Minimize downtime and liaise with technical departments to rectify equipment problems.
Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management to review.
Keep clean and tidy production areas according to 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma / B.Tech / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in production (Freshers with excellent technical skills may apply).
Good knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety standards, and production KPIs.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and people management skills.
Basic knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office, and production monitoring software.
Capacity to work under stress in a dynamic production environment.

Ready to work in shifts if necessary.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Prior experience in textile, plastic, FMCG, electronics, or heavy machinery production units will be a plus.
Those from Kanpur or surrounding areas are also preferred due to ease of travel and local knowledge.
Positive attitude with leadership quality to guide and inspire production staff effectively.
